Move Forward by Looking Back

When we take time to pause and look back, to review the past year or even the last few months, we might find something unexpected. We might find unexpected accomplishments and positive outcomes. Let’s pause together here and consider what went right this year. Use the following questions to start probing some positive reflection.

QUESTION 1: Over the past year, what experiences brought me the most joy and fulfillment, and how can I incorporate more of that into my life moving forward?

Reflecting on moments of genuine happiness can help us prioritize what truly matters.

QUESTION 2: What past success am I proud of, and how can I use those achievements to fuel my future goals?

Celebrating our accomplishments reminds us of our abilities and inspires us to aim higher.

QUESTION 3: Are there past mistakes or regrets that still weigh on me, and what steps can I take toward forgiveness or letting go?

Releasing lingering regrets can free us to focus on new opportunities with a lighter heart.

QUESTION 4: Who were the people that supported or inspired me, and how can I cultivate deeper relationships with them?

Reflecting on supportive relationships can remind us of the value of community as we move forward.

As we walk this reflective path together, you might want to grab a pen and paper, or even a special journal for your thoughts. Your thoughts are one of your most prized and valuable possessions, which have the ability to heal, enlighten, and move you forward. Spend some time with them.

Friendliest staff, unique coffee-shop-specific selection - Honey Bee is my favorite. Perfect outside area, even if it’s raining a bit. Doesn’t hurt that it’s close to my house!

Jubala at Lafayette Village

The place to be on a beautiful North Carolina day, with ample outside seating. Cozy inside seating is available for those heads-down, focused, get-work-done kind of peeps.

WHAT I’M LIKING

Seasonal Scents Edition

Whether you prefer the scents of Fall or Winter, there is something inexplicable about the ways these scents make us feel. Cozy, comfortable, even hungry (sugar cookie candle anyone?). I want to share a new way I’ve discovered to enjoy the scents of the season.

COLD DIFFUSERS

Pros:

A diffuser for every budget, including affordable and luxury scents. Spring for a small diffuser with a more expensive scent for maximum impact.
No sticky residue with a cold diffuser, and they are safe around pets.

Cons:

Smaller diffusers only cover one room. For better scent disbursement, place the diffuser in an open space up high, as cold air naturally floats down and fills the space.
Only use scents for “cold diffusers”. Does limit your scent options.
